I have recently graduated from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising as a Visual Communications major. I've been in love with styling my entire life and my ultimate career goal is to obtain a position at a fashion publication in NYC. I often volunteer for fashion shows in the local San Francisco area and organize wardrobe styling photo shoots to expand my designer portfolio.
I styled my model, Carissa in an outfit that appropriately represents my styling capabilities and showcases my creativity in fashion. I decided to work around a neutral color palette and pair it with accents of black to balance everything out. My theme was romantic and ultra-feminine, which are clearly shown in my choice of fabrics. The lace detail and layered fabric of the sheer shirt paired with the pleated skirt helped me achieve my goal of elegant style. I used a layered necklace as a belt to emphasize the waistline. As I was slightly inspired by Dior's The New Look, I added a wide brim hat with a pink scarf tied into a bow. My location, the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco perfectly compliments the theme of my fashion styling and adds the perfect amount of beauty for the overall look.

The number one rule I always abide by is to maintain a feminine silhouette. As far as style, I am constantly experimenting with the latest trends while incorporating them with the elements I love. Everything and anything feminine, elegant, and timeless is what captures my attention. I feel that it's important to always be aware of how a woman presents herself.
I appreciate beautiful places and people. They definitely influence me on my style choices.
